Official RISD Transcript Requests

A transcript is the official record of a student’s classes, grades, GPA and degree. Requests online through Parchment anytime.

Processing time: Electronic transcripts typically arrive within 24 hours to their destination. Printed transcripts take at least 5-7 business days to arrive to their destination, longer for international addresses.

Delivery Options: Printed transcripts are mailed to recipients via regular first-class United States Postal Service (USPS) mail for no additional charge. Expedited shipping is available for an additional fee.

Apostilles: Some countries outside the United States require an Apostille on documents, usually diplomas or transcripts. For degree-seeking students and graduates, the Registrar can notarize your transcript and obtain an Apostille from the Secretary of State of Rhode Island. Official transcripts requiring an Apostille can be ordered directly on Parchment’s site.
