Zoom Phone
RISD is using Zoom Phone for our campus telephone system.
RISD employees will be assigned a Zoom Phone license and telephone number through RISD’s Information Technology Services.
With Zoom Phone you may make calls from a desk phone*, from the Zoom desktop app on a computer using a headset/headphones, or from the Zoom app on a mobile phone.
Zoom Phone provides enhanced access to contacts, call history, voicemail transcription and additional ways to check voicemail.
*Zoom desk phones are NOT required to make or receive calls. Many employees have opted to use the Zoom desktop client app on their computers or the Zoom app on their mobile phone to make or receive calls (this is a user's personal preference).
To request a Zoom phone license/number or Zoom desk phone, submit a service request to the Service Desk.
