Q: Why can't I connect my Android device to the Google Play store with my RISD account?
A: RISD Accounts are not compatible with the Google Play store. To get around this, you will need to switch to a non-risd Google account (e.g. jdoe@gmail.com) before downloading the app. Follow the instructions below to switch accounts in a Google Play app:
- Open the Google Play store.
- Tap your RISD Google account profile on the top right.
- Look for the name and email address of the account you're using at the top of the screen.
- Tap the Down arrow.
- Tap the account you want to use.
Q: Why do I receive an "Invalid Origin" error when trying to use Campus Map on my computer's Chrome browser?
A: Most likely the issue is that your location services are off for the Chrome browser. Follow the instructions below to enable:
- Open Chrome.
- On the top right, click the Chrome menu icon (three vertical dots).
- Click Settings
- In the "Security and Privacy" section, click "Site Settings".
- In the dialog that appears, click "Location".
- Be sure the option to "Sites can ask for your location" is ON.
