Waive Student Health Insurance in Workday
Description
This guide will help eligible students navigate to submit a waiver of the RISD student health insurance plan, as well as learn more information about the RISD coverage. RISD requires all students to have health insurance. For students entering RISD in the summer, summer student health insurance is charged with summer tuition charges. The insurance fee for the full, regular academic year is charged in the fall. However, students enrolled in a comparable, comprehensive US-based health insurance policy that covers them while enrolled at RISD may waive the student health insurance policy by published deadlines. Students seeking to waive the RISD plan must waive the plan annually, and waiver seekers entering RISD in the summer must waive the plan in both the summer by June 30 and again by August 1 for the academic year plan. More details about the plan can be found online at universityhealthplans.com.
How to Access the Health Insurance Waiver
Select your student type from the website, which will open a new menu of options to include Waiver Form and Benefit Information.
To submit a waiver of the coverage, select Waiver Form and provide all of the requested documentation within the University Health Plans website. Be sure to meet the published deadlines.
