Setting up Multifactor Authentication for Third Party Users in Workday

Purpose:


To view your student’s information on the Workday system, you must use multifactor authentication to
login. Multifactor authentication introduces a second security step to access Workday. This second step
is a verification code that will be sent directly to your email address on record in Workday.


Requirement:

  • Third Party must have an email address in Workday


Setting up Multifactor Authentication for Third Party Instructions

Instructions:

  1. Visit Workday https://wd5.myworkday.com/risd
     
  2. Select Parent/Authorized User Login



  3. Click Set Up Now


  4. Click Send to Email to set up the email authentication.


  5. Go to your email and retrieve the login verification code.



  6. Enter the verification code on the login screen and click the Continue button.



  7. Upon successful verification, you will see the Success! Message. Click Done to continue to login.
