Set up Duo Security as backup verification method for password changes
The Duo security app that we use for 2 Factor Authentication can be used as a backup verification method for password changes. This method will help you prove your identity in case you face issues with other verification methods.
Set up Duo Security as backup verification method for password changes
- Visit password.risd.edu
- Click Change Password / Enroll
- Sign in with your RISD username and password
- Click the Enrollment tab
- Under Set Up Backup Verification Methods, you will see Duo Security.
- Click Set Up.
- Follow the Duo prompts to authenticate.
- Once you've successfully verified your identity through Duo, the password service will display Duo Security as an option.
