Propose a RISD Global Travel Course: Submit a New Course
This form is exclusively for faculty submitting a NEW Global Summer Studies or Wintersession Travel course for the upcoming academic year that has never been taught before. Looking to propose a previously offered course? See the instructions here: Propose a RISD Global Travel Course: Modify a Previously Offered Course
To propose a brand new course that has never been offered previously, go to the Coursedog Home page.
On the right side under Actions, click + New Proposal then select Add a New RISD Global Travel Course from the drop down.

Fill out all Coursedog required fields, then click Submit Proposal on the right-hand toolbar under Actions. Any changes made to the proposal auto-save; if you need to navigate away from the page before you submit your proposal – and need to access your draft later – you can find that at Curriculum > Drafts.
IMPORTANT NOTE: At least one department must be added to the “Department(s)” field using the drop down menu. Exactly one department must be the Course Inventory Owner and typically all are Allowed to Offer (if there are multiple departments). To choose the course inventory owner, defer to the department with the “most” ownership. For example, two departments may share a course 50/50 but one pays for it. In that case, the department providing the costs will be the course owner.
