Getting the following error message when trying to log into Zoom via the RISD authentication while using Chrome:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bad Request - Header Field Too Long
HTTP Error 400. A request header field is too long.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Here are some solutions:

1) The quickest and easiest solution is to use another browser

2) If you insist on using Chrome, you might have a plugin in Chrome that's corrupted which you need to uninstall and reinstall Chrome

3) You can also try clearing your cookies and cache from Chrome. Here's how...

  • Click on the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of your Chrome browser and open Settings from that menu
  • Under the Privacy and security section, click on Cookies and other site data
  • Scroll down and click on See all cookies and site data
    • In the search feature on the top right, enter "risd.zoom.us" (without the quotes) and delete all cookies for  risd.zoom.us  by clicking on the trash can icon on the right of that

Go back to  risd.zoom.us and you should now be able to successfully login again with your RISD credentials
