All hardware and software configurations are evaluated annually and recommended by faculty, Department Heads and the administration of the participating Academic Departments.

The following materials have been developed in collaboration with the individual departments, the Division Dean(s), and RISD’s Information Technology Services (ITS).  Any questions regarding the selection of hardware and software chosen to support the academic program should be directed to the appropriate Head of the Department.

Note: If your department does not have a specific laptop recommendation you may view the minimum computer recommendations to make sure your computer meets the system requirements to run integral software such as Zoom and Canvas.
