The CWP centralizes the purchase and refresh of RISD faculty and staff computers.

Hardware Support
RISD Owned Computer Support (Faculty / Staff)
Contact your Department Technician for hardware and software problems with your RISD Owned computer. Department technicians are equipped to diagnose and often fix common problems. Those departments without dedicated technicians should contact the IT Service Desk: servicedesk@risd.edu or (401)454-6106.
Laptop Program Computer Support (Students)

Personally Owned Computer Equipment Service Policy
The IT Services' (ITS) support and service for student personally owned computers is limited to the following:
- Assistance with the initiation of a Virus and/or Malware scan
- Campus Wireless and Network configuration assistance
ITS and the Rhode Island School of Design are not responsible for any damage or loss of data incurred during the servicing of equipment not owned by the Rhode Island School of Design.
ITS can not accept and repair computers or hardware components that are not owned by the Rhode Island School of Design. In the event a personally owned computer requires support and service beyond what is outlined above, students will be directed to obtain the necessary service and support from an authorized service center. Services through authorized service centers are subject to service fees.
