Understanding Student Academic Progress in Workday
Description
The academic progress report lists a student’s requirements to graduate and indicates if they have been fulfilled. The report automatically factors in approved curriculum modifications.
The report is not real time. Courses registration added today will factor into the report the following day.
View Academic Progress
Navigate to the student profile by either clicking on a student’s name from your advisee list, a class roster, or by typing the student’s name into the search bar
-
On the left menu, select Academics
At the top, choose Academic Progress
-
At the top of the report, find the student’s Program of Study (major and/or concentration), Cumulative GPA and overall credit count
-
All requirements might not fit on one page. To see all the requirements, at the bottom of the page next to Items per page select “All”.
-
For completed courses, you will see the course used to satisfy the requirement, during which term it was completed, the credits earned, and the grades earned
Requirements not yet met are labeled as Not Satisfied or In Progress. An In Progress requirement means the student is either taking the course currently OR the student has completed a portion of the requirement, for example, the student has completed 3 out of 9 elective credits.
You can filter or sort by clicking on a column header. For example, to see all the student’s remaining requirements, click the Status column then filter to is Not Satisfied and In Progress.
Identifying Classes Not Counting Toward Student's Degree
Classes that do not count toward earning a student's degree appear as Unused Registrations. These may be courses that the student did not pass, or took prior to switching a major.
Important: Classes a student registers for will appear here until they update their academic progress report by updating their Academic Plan.
To view courses not counting toward the student's degree, on the Academic Progress page next to Unused Registrations click the number.
