When should I sign directly into the department account?
Signing into the account is required when setting up Duo 2 Factor Authentication, assigning delegated access, sharing google drive files or folders, sharing the calendar, or changing other account settings.
We also suggest signing directly into the department google account when you need to access Google Drive files owned by the department account.
If more than one person plans to sign directly into the account, the account owner will need to enroll additional numbers in Duo. See: How do I enroll an additional phone number in Duo to access the department account?
