Final Course Narratives in Workday (Faculty)

At the end of the semester faculty enter final course narratives for the students that provide a qualitative review of student work.

This Workday process, while done in conjunction with awarding final grades, is separate from the Workday process of entering final grades.

Enter Final Course Narratives

Log in to Workday on a computer (not mobile device).
Go to Menu then Teaching.
Under instructor Activities, select Enter or Edit Final Grade Narratives. You may need to select More to see this option.
Use the drop down to select a Semester then Class and click OK.
For each student, enter a narrative then click Save. You may enter some students, save them and return to complete the remaining student narratives in the future. (Final grades are entered on a different task - Assign Final Grades - available on the Teaching dashboard.)
At the bottom, click OK.
If you wish students to view the saved narratives, select Publish My Section Narratives to Students & Advisors as shown below and click OK. Otherwise, click OK and the narratives will remain saved but not visible to students and advisors.
You can return to the roster to enter or adjust a narrative at any time by relaunching Enter or Edit Final Grade Narratives from the Teaching menu.
