Hypothesis
Hypothes.is is an online tool for social annotation. It allows instructors to create annotatable resources from texts (book chapters and papers, online articles) and use them to allow students to engage with readings, work together to annotate in groups or as a class, discuss key points and arguments, or submit annotation-based assignments.
How can I get access to Hypothesis?
Hypothesis is fully integrated in Canvas as an external tool for creating new module items and assignments. All RISD faculty and CE instructors have access to Hypothesis through Canvas. Hypothesis is available in Canvas under External Tools when creating a new item in a module or a new assignment.
